For many years he directed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.strath.ac.uk\/scilt\/\">Scottish CILT<\/a>, and more recently he was the driving force behind the creation of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.soillse.ac.uk\/\">Soillse<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He has a wealth of international experience in relation to bilingualism in education, and was visiting Uist in his advisory capacity to the <a title=\"Finished report\" href=\"hhttps:\/\/www.northpost.co.uk\/uhi\/2011\/09\/22\/gaelic-in-a-bilingual-community-research-report\/\">small research project<\/a> being conducted here.
