This time there was a special presentation by teachers and students from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sgoillionacleit.org.uk\/\">Sgoil L\u00econacleit<\/a> about their recent trip to various First World War sites and cemeteries. The students showed photos and a short film from their visit, and spoke openly and honestly about the emotional impact of the trip to a rapt audience. Tunes and songs were also shared in the group, with various junior and senior pipers and singers contributing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northpost.co.uk\/uhi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/34-loos.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-2649\" title=\"Loos Cemetery\" src=\"https:\/\/www.northpost.co.uk\/uhi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/34-loos.jpg?w=150\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"112\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.northpost.co.uk\/uhi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/34-loos.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.northpost.co.uk\/uhi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/34-loos-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.northpost.co.uk\/uhi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/34-loos-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>Afterwards, Marybell Macintyre from Sgoil L\u00econacleit spoke in Gaelic to Gordon Wells about the trip and about the deeper understanding that both she, as a teacher, and the students themselves had gained from it.
